•Report directly to Director of Counseling Services.
-Provide crisis intervention and short term therapy, individual, couples, and group, to university students including mental health assessments, information and referrals.
•Available for collateral contacts including hospitals and clinics, family members, faculty and staff, as appropriate.
•Accompany students to urgent or emergency care if needed.

•Liaise with the office of Student Support and Crisis Management, and academic programs as necessary.

•Maintain timely, appropriate and accurate records and correspondence related to students served.

•Maintain open communication with interdisciplinary staff of Student Health Services.

•Assist with the development and maintenance of referral resources, which includes contact with outside agencies, mental health professionals, and other clinicians.

•Participate actively in staff meetings and supervision.

•Attend workshops, training seminars and university meetings.

•Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Master’s degree in Social Work or PhD/PsyD in psychology.
•Current licensure to practice in New York State.

•Maintain own professional liability insurance coverage.
•Post-graduate experience in young adult or college health desired.
•Supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Able to provide therapy in another language in addition to English
-Experience working with students who are LGBTQ, PoC, International, and other identities
-Strong commitment to social justice
-CBT/DBT training
