A Student Ambassador is an important representative of The New School, responsible for providing excellent customer service to members of the university community and general public whom call and/or visit campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Provide friendly, helpful and accurate information in person, via email and telephonically at the Welcome Center to prospective students, current students, faculty, staff, and guests of The New School about the university and all degree programs, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the university’s services and offices.
- Provide thorough information on the Admission process and areas of general inquiry.
- Cordially route inquirers to the appropriate university office for more intricate information when necessary.
- Facilitate campus tours for prospective students and guests.
- Record detailed notes on phone inquiries in a software database.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Personable, articulate, enthusiastic, perceptive and disciplined.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
