As part of the Annual Giving team and reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Annual Giving Operations Manager will work with the Director to deliver a robust schedule of communications designed to grow Annual Fund contributions. S/he will serve as the project manager for direct mail, email, phone, and social media campaigns, and must demonstrate attention to detail, adhere to strict timelines, and feel comfortable working with large amounts of data.

- Manage production timeline for multiple Annual Fund campaigns to keep messages on schedule and communicate deadlines as required to university partners and external vendors
- Prepare and execute complex multi channel communications ensuring segmentation, visual elements, HTML, branding, and style guides are accurately applied as outlined in the Annual Fund campaign strategy and working closely with the university marketing team
- Coordinate with Advancement Services to receive data ensuring accuracy and correct formatting as described in the Annual Fund campaign strategy, and apply required segment coding and merge fields related to each communication
- Oversee phonathon caller software setup and campaign reporting, and manage phonathon pledge fulfillment including daily pledge invoices, solicit code tracking, and progress
- Produce and distribute weekly, quarterly, and bi-annual reports to measure the performance of the Annual Fund communications, revenue, and participation goals; identify trends in giving, content engagement, and other KPIs as needed
- Research best practices for donor re-engagement and acquisition, and present creative and cost-effective ideas to grow Annual Fund revenue and participation
- Collaborate with the Director of Annual Giving to create engaging content in partnership with senior leadership as well as alumni, parent, and student volunteers for targeted Annual Fund direct mail, digital, university wide capital campaigns
- Develop stewardship messages and programming to recognize current Annual Fund donors and inspire prospective donors to give to the Annual Fund, and work with internal partners to implement special events, gifts, and acknowledgments
- Other tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

- Proven experience managing complex projects
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
- Experience with HTML, digital design, email service providers
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication
- Knowledgeable working with databases, Banner preferred
- 2-3 years working in development, sales, marketing or PR environment, preferably at a university or cultural institution
- Bachelor’s degree
