Responsibilities:

The Communications Office within Student Success is seeking a student worker to assist with crafting a voice and identity for a suite of social media accounts representing a number of student support offices. The purpose of these accounts is to engage students, share information, and build up the New School community. The Social Media Assistant will help write content, schedule posts, assess reach and growth, brainstorm campaigns, research topics, generate videos and other visuals, and work with offices around campus to maintain a content calendar. The Social Media Assistant will also help ensure the Student Success accounts are well aligned with other New School accounts.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Experience using social media and other digital communications to build a sense of community
-Experience representing multiple entities or balancing many points of view
-High degree of judgment
-Willingness to learn new platforms and try new ideas
-Organized and responsible
-Interest in helping fellow students feel connected to The New School

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or other graphics programs a plus
-A work-study award is preferred but not required
