Responsibilities:

Student Requested: College Work Study (preferred)

Needed Shifts: Monday through Thursday 9-12pm or 1-5pm, Tuesday and Thursday 5-8pm, Fridays 9-5pm

Job Purpose: This position supports the day-to-day operations for over 50 registered student organizations overseen by Student Development and Activities. This position will support the Assistant Director of Student Development and Activities on programming, expense tracking and reconciling and various student organization processes for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Job Responsibilities:
• Assist with answering telephones, faxing, filing correspondence, running errands on and off campus, and making copies.
• Greet office guests, by answering questions and directing them to the proper individual(s) or department.
• Assist with the tracking of expenses and group funds for meetings, events, and other initiatives.
• Work with OSDA staff to maintain the student organization master list and registration processes.
• Build recognition packets for review of new student groups looking to become recognized.
• Assist in honoring and entering space requests in the 25Live reservation system for all recognized student groups.
• Work closely with the various academic and non-academic departments within the University, including Facilities Management and Event IT, as well as outside or third party vendors.
• Monitor and respond to University employees, student groups and outside vendor via Student Organization email.
• Send email blast on new policies and procedure via Google Groups
• Run queries and daily reports to be used for monthly reporting.
• Prepare supplies for student group events.
• Schedule food runs and/or assist with purchasing of supplies for group events
• Update departmental and food run calendar to be shared with Student Development and Activities staff.
• Submit approved flyers to Senior Office Assistant and Social Media Program Assistant for posting on campus and on social media environments.

• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Good computer skills and proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be organized!
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• High attention to detail and follow through.
• Ability to problem solve, be a team player and multi-task.
• The ability to handle confidential matters and to be professional.
• Ability to work between 15-20 hours per week, with some evenings required.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; ability to lift and move equipment and supplies.
