Student Financial Services/Financial Aid is looking for a motivated candidate who can provide student insight and leadership in creating informative changes to student outreach. Responsibilities include:

- Providing a student perspective on how the Financial Aid Office can better aid the campus community
- Conducting research about interactive and graphic design approaches used in similar offices, and integrating other media approaches into current design.
- Developing, creating, and testing design ideas of student oriented campaigns and media for print and web
- Generating content for and editing various communication pieces
- Candidate should have a graphic design/communication design, media, writing, marketing, or other design-oriented background or interest, but all backgrounds are encouraged to apply

Examples of potential projects:

- Create, design, and edit web, email, forms, website, internal wiki
- Develop interactive media for engaging new and continuing students
- Research and create scholarship content from external sources
- Monitor Financial Aid Office presence on social media networks
- Conduct, analyze, and report on customer service surveys
- Overseeing and conducting large scale physical file conversions to digital copies
- Occasional student-facing service interactions staffing front desk

Minimum Qualifications:

Skills and attributes candidates are expected to have:

- Self-direction and purpose
- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills with no mitakes
- Research skills
- Creative, critical, and mindful design and content development skills
- Understanding of digital media software – Photoshop and Illustrator
- Basic knowledge of office productivity software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Facebook, Slack, Adobe Acrobat

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge with CSS/HTML/JS is desirable
- Experience using a CMS a plus
- History with integration development
- Understanding of relational data
- Affinity for dogs
