Position Availability:

Dunne & Raby require assistance preparing 3D computer models, fabrication data and renderings for a research project we are currently working on. The position is initially for 20 hours but may be extended.

The research assistant will:

Develop a number of computer models and renderings for an object to be used in an exhibition.

Prepare data that can be used for physical fabrication techniques such as laser cutting, 3D printing and possibly CNC milling.

Prepare renderings to be used for online and print media.

Experiment with different computer rendering aesthetics.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Excellent 3D computer modeling and rendering skills.

- Ability to prepare data from a computer model for a range of physical fabrication techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Interest in experimenting with aesthetics

- Ability to model both natural (eg mountains and landscapes) and mechanical systems.
