Responsibilities:

The School of Constructed Environments at Parsons School of Design is seeking a full-time Construction Administrator for their Summer Design Workshop course. This is a full time 40 hour per week contractual position from May 16 – September 9, 2016. The Construction Administrator will work with 15 second year graduate students. The project will involve building an open air pavilion structure located in a NYC community garden. The build will involve foundations, canopy and decking. This position reports to the Director of the Design Workshop.

Responsibilities:

Daily (M-F) on-site assistance with students and Construction Manager
Working side-by-side with students to assist with tools, safety, and methods
Assisting with deliveries and organization of site
Assisting Construction Administrator with progress reports, organization, and daily maintenance of the job site.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Proficient construction experience with a design build project
Extensive knowledge in use of construction tools and tool safety and ability to mentor students on such.
Assist the Construction Administrator with site management, safety and productivity in the construction process.
