Responsibilities:

The office Information Technology is hiring student workers to help with the IT Service Desk.

This is primarily a customer service position related to intake of in-person inquiries and phone calls related to IT support. The student worker is expected to answer and/or route the calls to the appropriate Level 1 IT Service Desk group, as well as log all in-person and phone requests for assistance.

Example of routine front desk area tasks include but is not limited to: Answer questions related to Information Technology services, direct users to existing support documentation, provide basic troubleshoot of in-class calls working and perform special projects as assigned.

We offer extensive web resources and on-the-job training.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be customer service-oriented
• Tech-savvy, willingness to learn basic technical troubleshooting, and the ability to work within IT guidelines.
• Available to work at least 2-3 shifts per week, up to a maximum of 20 hours per week.

• Reception/ First level of communication and support
• General information dissemination
• Enforcing policy and procedures
• General problem assessment, troubleshooting, escalating and reporting
• Limited user assistance with application/technology workflow
• Projects as assigned by management
• Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
