Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with in-person and telephone inquiries
• Assisting in the preparation, dissemination and management of events, including occasional nights and weekends
• General office duties (typing memos, preparing spreadsheets, filing student paperwork, etc)
• Creating and designing posters/flyers for events
• Make daily interdepartmental deliveries to offices within the division and to
Financial Aid, Registration, Records, and other Central Administration offices in buildings throughout the university.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• The candidate must currently be enrolled at The New School, with preferably at least 1 year of studies remaining
• Prompt and reliable
• Proactive and able to use good judgment
• Ability to work set hours each week (20 hours a week)
• Availability in early January and the summer
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Professional “front office” appearance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with event planning/execution preferred, as well as previous experience in a busy office environment preferred
