A faculty member in the Parsons School of Design’s department of Art and Design History and Theory is seeking a student research assistant to provide support for a book and exhibition project focused on the American artist Robert Smithson. Responsibilities include:
-library and archival research on Robert Smithson
-research on contemporary artists related to Robert Smithson
-editing/proofreading of manuscripts and proposals
-gathering and organizing digital images

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidate should possess the following qualifications:
-exceptional written and verbal communication skills
-experience conducting academic research using a variety of databases
-a humanities-based major with interest some or all of the following: modern and contemporary art history, English literature, and film..
-Applicants must be in their junior or senior year with a minimum GPA of 3.4
