Responsibilities:

The Global Executive Master of Science in Strategic Design and Management is welcoming its inaugural cohort of creative professionals in July 2016. This 36-credit program, the Global Executive Master of Science in Strategic Design and Management combines business, management, and leadership coursework with design-centred studio work. Combining weekend intensives based at our Parsons Paris campus and convenient, flexible online learning modules that continue for seven weeks after each intensive, classes are taken one at a time – in which the students will complete the degree in 18-months.

This program also includes weeklong studio intensives based in Paris, New York City, and Shanghai.

We are currently seeking applications for interested candidates to teach for this global degree. These positions will be hired and supervised by the Academic Director of the Global Executive MS-SDM through the Provost office.

The applications sought are for courses commencing Summer 2016 and beyond. Duties may include the following: re-designing course content for both intensive face-to-face teaching and online collaboration methods, teaching graduate courses face-to-face, online or both;
assessing student learning outcomes; submitting grades in a timely manner.

The courses include: Strategic Design & Management in New Economies, Designing & Implementing Sustainable Business Models, Managing Creative Projects & Team, Design Innovation & Leadership, Integrative Studios, Regulatory & Ethical Contexts, New Design Firms

Minimum Qualifications:

Faculty must have expertise and experience in the discipline for which they seek teach and have demonstrated experience in teaching Master degree courses. Qualifications vary by disciplinary area, but generally require at least a Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Professional experience in working in global environments is required.

Fluency in English required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in teaching executive-level professionals is preferred.
